The Life Plan by Shannah Kennedy- What I Loved

The Life Plan Book

I'll be honest and say that as soon as I read “Simple Strategies for a Meaningful Life” on the front cover of this book, I knew I was going to buy it.

Incidentally, I was shopping for a beautiful gift for someone I cherish very dearly and I thought this book would be of wonderful use to them.

It was simple but elegant, quiet yet bold and practical, but still a pleasure to read and look at. I struggled to refrain from buying the book for myself right there and then, having about 10 unread self-development books in my bookcase at home (whoops!).

A few days later, I was on the phone to someone else I love (hiya, Mum!) and she was telling me about this beautiful book she was reading, called The Life Plan. Turns out we share more than our introverted ways and love for cooking!

A few weeks later, she passed this gorgeous book on to me and I absolutely devoured it (not literally- although by the time I'd read it from cover to cover, I was about ready to).

Anyway, I made a sandwich and sat down to write this review because I absolutely could not wait to share this book with you!

From learning about yourself and your values to developing meaningful goals, this book provides you with an incredible foundation to create a meaningful life plan.

With questions like “When have you felt you were at your best, most passionate and alive?” to nuggets of wisdom, such as “Be true to your own definition of success,” this book will inspire you to create a life you truly love.

And with activities including A Hope Map and Planning for Obstacles, not only will The Life Plan inspire you, it will also give you practical ways to go about it!

Ever wanted to take a special break for yourself or go on a holiday, but you just can't bring yourself to take that time off work and make that emotional, financial and time commitment? Have a read of the “Sabbatical" chapter. It was my favourite chapter in the book and filled me with so much inspiration that I was brimming with excitement. Isn't this what life should be about? Feeling excited for the future, saying yes to the desires of your heart and living in a way that fulfils you and inspires you?

And don't even get me started on the design! It truly is gorgeous from start to finish. Beautiful photos, calming colours and easy to read, elegant fonts, all laid out in a way that creates the perfect reading experience.

Well, I'm off to start the activities included in The Life Plan. If you get your hands on a copy, I would really love to hear your thoughts! Simply leave a comment below or get in touch via social media.
