On December 5th, 2018, I hosted a meditation session with three of my friends during my training to become a meditation teacher.

Exactly one year later, I caught up with my sister at a local restaurant and we drank champagne and stayed for dinner, then chatted for hours.

And yet another year later, my partner (Dec) and I went to a café and sat in the sunshine to talk about the future and everything we felt excited about.

No, I don’t have a phenomenal memory!

I’ve simply been recording meaningful moments from each day in my Curation journals by Saint Belford for the last four years.

I’ve been journaling since I was a little girl and I’ve tried a huge (seriously, huge) range of journals, but Curation has become my firm favourite. It’s the only journal I now use consistently and it has all the features I need to stay organised, create positive habits, and maintain my wellbeing.

The co-founders of Saint Belford, Alex and Tom, are some of the kindest people I’ve been lucky enough to meet via my work. Each year, they listen to feedback from their community and diligently add thoughtful, new features to their Curation journals.

They support mental health services, including R U OK? and Beyond Blue. And, they’ve recently launched several uplifting lifestyle tools to further inspire and motivate their customers (including the Pledge to Stay Well journal, which I was thrilled to contribute to!).

If you’re looking for a journal to help you reach your goals and nourish your wellbeing in 2022, the Curation journal is for you. It contains super practical features for anyone who loves to plan (I’m over here, raising my hand) AND powerful prompts to help you look after your mental and physical health.

Let’s get a little more specific! Below you’ll find some of my favourite features from the 2022 Curation Journal by Saint Belford.

The Weekly Habit Tracker

Arguably my favourite feature, the Habit Tracker is really simple, yet effective.

At the start of each week, I choose the habits I’d like to focus on for the week and I write them down in the space provided (including a number of times I’d like to complete the habit).

For example, last week, my habits included: Workout x 5, Yoga x 3, Dance x 3, Meditate x 5, and Read x 3.

Even when I don’t achieve all my goals, I love being able to tick them off as I go and feel good about the effort I put into looking after my wellbeing.

Gratitude Reflection

I love this meaningful feature inside Curation! At the start of each week, there’s space to write down three things you’re grateful for and it’s a lovely way to pause and reflect on the goodness in your life.

The Weekly Drawing Board

I have to admit, I rarely used this feature in 2018 and 2019. Each week, there’s space called a “Drawing Board” and it’s blank so you can use it however you like.

In 2020, I felt inspired to start answering random journaling prompts using the Drawing Board.

For example, “What does success mean to me?”, “What am I excited about right now?”, and “What have I learned over the last week?”.

It’s been such a fun way to use the Weekly Drawing Board and I plan to continue this activity in 2022!

Bucket List

I like sitting down at the start of the New Year with a tasty drink, some sweet treats, and my Curation Journal (and a pen) to create my “Bucket List” for the year ahead.

Even though 2021 was a particularly tough and unpredictable year, I still completed a decent chunk of my Bucket List, including making water kefir, giving someone an unexpected gift, enjoying a massage, spending an entire afternoon reading a book, and volunteering at a wildlife shelter.

The Daily Lines and To-Do Lists

Underneath each date (for example, June 20) in the Curation journal, there are 6 lines and 6 boxes to write your to-do list.

Generally, I only use the to-do list for important appointments and social events.

And each night, I use the 6 lines to write down my favourite moments from the day. This is how I’ve turned my Curation journals into beautiful keepsakes I can read over to remember some of the beautiful, little moments from my life over the past 3 years. I absolutely adore this practice and I’ll be keeping it up in 2022!

If writing down some memories each day feels a bit overwhelming, you can also use the Memory Bank! This is such a great way to write down the key moments from your year so they won’t be forgotten.

Not only is the Curation journal practical and meaningful, but it’s also beautiful in its simplicity. The stunning covers are made from high-grade faux leather and the pages are thick and lovely to write on. Each feature has been carefully crafted to offer helpful guidance, without being overwhelming.

I’m already excited to start filling the pages of my Curation 2021 journal - it helps make every day feel a bit more special.

I hope you enjoy using Curation 2022 as much as I will!
